My first ZAC race of the year. And the first race on the ZX-6R.
Free practice
Luckily the weather wasn't as bad as forcasted. Free practice took place on a dry track. After the usual getting used to bike and track it went well. I was 3rd with a 1:59!
Qualifying practice
In the meantime it had started to rain but went our practice started the rain had stopped and the track was drying. Before I could a fast time I was pulled off the track because the bike made too much noise. Too bad, that meant a 25th place with a 2:21
Race 1
The start with the ZX6 didn't go very well. Not enough revs. But in the first turns I could overtake some people so I made up some ground. Overtaking (obviously) got more difficult when I got closer to the front.
I finished in 10th place, not bad for a start at position 25.
Race 2
Because someone as disqualified because of too much noise I could start race 2 from 9th place. This time the start went better and got through the first corners in more or less the same position. I was in a fight with the same people all race and finished 7th.
Race 3
Started from 7th and finished 7th.
In the overall standings for the day I was in 6th position and with the ZAC races that means you get a price!
