Wednesday night somewhere between 23.00 and 23.30 I arrived in Eemshaven (after a ZAC race in Zolder). I quickly put up the tent and went to sleep.

1st practice
This was my first time at Eemshaven. On first sight you could describe the track as 4 long straights with corners but there is a little more to it. After the practice I couldn;t really say I liked the track. eerste training kon ik alleen niet zeggen dat ik het een leuk baantje vond. I was 6th with a aptime of 2.02, not bad.

2nd practice
After a couple of laps I started enjoying myself. Brake a bit later for the 90 degree corners and the laptimes drops with 4 seconds. But maybe it's time for a steering damper for the MuZ because this track has railroad crossings and crossing them at full acceleration makes the front of the bike very light. And the very short 1st gear isn't ideal for the hairpin, and 2nd isn't an option too. Well, all this resulted in a laptime of 1.58 and 5th spot on the starting grid.

Race
I had just put on my overalls when it started to rain a little, then the heavy rain started and there was a bit of hail. Great, so close before the start but it soon stopped. The sidecars where on the track and I hoped they would dry the track with their wide tires. They did a good job. there was a dry line. I was a bit too cautious and lost 2 places. I stayed a while behind a Laverda Formula that was a bit slower but hard to pass. Evenntually I managed to get passed and was in 6th place. 3 laps before the end the heavy rain came back (and the hail too but I haven't seen that). The Laverda came passed me bau I still finished 6th because someone broke down in the rain.
